The car charging pile is used for charging electric vehicles, and its function is like a refueling gun for fueling gasoline vehicles in a gas station. The car charging pile can be installed on the ground or fixed on the wall. It can be installed in various public areas, residential quarters and electric vehicle charging stations, and then charge electric vehicles of various specifications according to different rated voltages. You can use a special charging card to complete the corresponding charging method, charging time, printing out the cost data information and other practical operations on the man-machine interactive operation panel of the car charging pile. The car charging pile display can display statistical data such as charging amount, cost, charging time and so on.
At this stage, there are two common types of car charging piles on the market, one is AC charging piles, and the other is DC charging piles.
AC charging piles: AC charging piles are fixedly assembled in some public places outside the new energy electric vehicle, and provide controllable unilateral AC or three-phase AC power supply system equipment for the on-board charger of the electric vehicle. Because the output power of new energy electric vehicle on-board chargers is generally very small, AC charging piles cannot complete fast charging, and AC charging piles are also called slow charging. The power of AC charging piles is not easy to be very large, generally 3.5kW, 7kW, 15kW, etc.
DC charging piles: DC charging piles are fixed and assembled in some public places outside the new energy electric vehicle, such as residential quarters, housing underground parking lots, commercial blocks, high-speed service areas, outdoor underground parking lots, electric vehicle charging stations and other places. Since the DC charging pile can directly charge the battery of the electric vehicle, the derived voltage and current can be adjusted in a large range, so it can complete the fast charging of new energy electric vehicles, and the DC charging pile is also called fast charging. Due to the high power of DC charging piles, there are generally 30kW, 60kW, 80kW, 120kW, 150kW, 180kW, etc.
